[7 Y+ M& T6 z' {After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete. w2 s) {% [) q' u 9 k8 {7 u: e7 q3 X. ~/ w2 w) F* j% i9 fBut, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. " Z6 u' X3 s. O , Y9 l5 Z W' n, f% ZLess than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. 9 `5 C: N4 g, b, E' s m8 h' h

"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. $ a- q7 F1 N, l* k8 ^7 r1 V" c5 }

"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." . o, S: y/ h9 l2 s1 ?$ r& ?- T" | " D: n5 u& F1 k- x5 F6 P. L% I0 w/ TThe couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. % ]6 W" m( Q+ T5 ^2 s# K, ? 1 y& f8 l/ u F8 {8 C$ Q5 x- XTheir oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. ; K2 S: i( u$ I* }0 t5 Z, H1 Y6 t( \
Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. ! t: g4 ^7 h/ s$ ]; `8 G

In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. - N- m$ P7 r; C1 Q- Z. d1 I# n* {4 R$ m- W% A6 f3 ? s7 o
Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. ! H' N. F+ ~/ f H z) ?) p; z# s: ?' V' f5 `9 o
She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. # N' m& s5 ]3 B, j: ~
5 \7 c, i$ I# F. s/ P3 ^2 e4 z' kMrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. 4 G [, B; p- p7 D 8 {" l- F$ I0 j, z% h m1 y5 h2 iBut despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. 1 J5 g/ n" P+ o/ F+ E- y! R

"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. ( y0 h. ^* e A+ r: P! g7 v# K 8 J5 P- A0 ]0 d3 d+ O, \8 F"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. . B4 u, I6 G, k( E* _$ {$ A
, R; V- k c& n& d/ l" ], K+ T"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." 4 P" s* h" F4 D) C

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. % ^" v! u& U* L; {. ~+ N9 n3 E& g; {% ?" e/ }, M) a
To accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. . i4 I( ^& s2 }5 ~6 }; k

They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. 8 ^; a* w! C( d2 m6 l: j

They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. ; j4 s7 o" M8 r" M: T( ~0 |3 i! G8 j4 ^' |0 t' P# {$ w! R
Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. 3 ~! W, |/ u- c: r; N3 ]' C ! l& C! H+ X3 X E O6 \"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." 2 z6 ~$ R" _7 ^6 n- z" v3 k2 ^- Z- p/ B
He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
