After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete. 7 ^1 a3 D1 j, ^3 V1 k4 x2 u' m. d' z
But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. 2 `3 w5 ]2 f. `5 x
( n5 |* V! U, p1 XLess than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. 6 {+ `" D: Z4 T3 g2 S5 v: Z% {4 P; x, E. t! {
"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. 1 ?4 y) ]- H; {: o8 a& o7 ^3 L) [* \9 W- T
"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." ( `" O/ p$ v. \- Y

The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. 8 \, i' L! J" E3 i. \# C7 g9 u

Their oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. 9 w) O; q2 K) w2 Z$ V

Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. " j( K$ F. K" c6 U, n
7 v* I- M: @/ c3 m- tIn March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. 2 T% x. U# t6 a* Q- \$ A

Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. 1 B. d& \. z7 _- h+ g

She had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. , y2 z# ^% o- p5 t% i4 a! ]8 p4 ^0 ~4 Y
Mrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. $ C0 j( Z. P o' B 2 }" }7 A, K# M' Y6 ~But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. ! G" |# M# U0 J! S% r. n6 C ~2 b9 J+ `3 d' K* k, Y& v% y"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. e! @! @& X- I8 Q8 `' y* M @) H* u8 c a$ R+ j' Z
"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. / F% w$ T+ A9 e1 k$ e( ^

"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." % q* h2 x8 b6 `6 Z 5 h: B& n: e# u1 T& Q; |$ ZMrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. & Q0 j- Y$ O+ C+ B( N& ]# f# _ 1 i W2 E/ [! {6 XTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. 4 R; n5 l& U4 e" I( w, M# O7 q+ Z2 ?* M' U4 Z4 V
They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. ; a/ R. K; }5 f8 Z 1 w& k% J, b2 P6 l; LThey struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. + L9 v+ L& f+ d * h0 N6 k8 g8 U5 U% FMr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. $ n$ i/ R, B+ |7 |# ^' N* P

"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." 6 l5 i ^! g& o1 ^+ B" }4 I! `6 ~% p1 i

He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
