After having nine children in as many years, you might think Rayna and Malcolm Warriner's brood is complete.+ V( M4 }! N8 e1 ^* G! \

But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill. ; z7 I) i8 |" A $ G+ v* Q9 N( S; m2 I. l, p" QLess than a month after giving birth to their newest addition, Mrs Warriner is already broody for a tenth baby. $ y- F5 a" ^( O, O; r0 b, x5 W( t# F7 L/ I
"I’m hooked on the adrenaline rush I get from having a beautiful baby and it is a miracle that lasts a lifetime," said the former nursery manager, 32. 8 ?# e% t: z8 G0 Y' b( e, [/ A, n
5 T' U, h1 A+ H/ X"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much." ) r! D7 e1 r d5 F+ \6 d# [* x+ I% I

The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. & D9 ^- W3 q9 K; ]; \; c' S0 s& U6 H8 F
Their oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. & v( R. S/ J: W& E" E4 [

Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. ( E+ J. D/ G( g0 I! b; I5 E8 D$ P* _8 i* Y+ N+ P3 }
In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. ! p5 _: } @3 F$ }+ ?- T6 a) g+ y4 T7 {( |9 H
Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. 3 Z+ e$ Q$ L; ~% h/ ]: M 6 F1 x9 q5 h7 x. d1 } V+ UShe had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta. . M7 {6 Z# g) y) J ; _+ h+ O% o) w& L5 VMrs Warriner is now considered to be at high risk of complications if she becomes pregnant again. - @" u+ W+ D! I& ^6 o , u9 _8 U" v( c: ^7 V! @But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood. * M: E. s {* R5 O1 P5 _ & A1 O2 Z, [' e8 I# A"We are not planning to have another one at the moment but we’ll have to wait and see what comes. & u3 e, U( X: a5 S8 ^0 \- z( w7 x$ B: V' m
"People think we are mad but the children are our life and bring us so much pleasure. / U8 M0 N, V. O8 Z, Q% Z , r/ g( y) F7 Q/ O) A" b"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now." ; B- b; n K9 U, K- i: u$ s

Mrs Warriner spends her exhausting 17-hour day ferrying her children to various schools and nurseries, doing four loads of washing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and reading countless bedtime stories. 0 F: ]% T Z3 z" o1 F Z4 j # D) v( w% I$ `; q1 E4 {! VTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. ; y, z! E4 j5 x6 B

They spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years. + I5 ^3 w4 r% q- K+ P" C/ N4 G( |# R * G. Z& e0 ?% w4 a2 l: t5 E$ o" VThey struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. * p- T4 L7 u' H! g! y# u ) J6 q$ m8 Y# t: Z1 dMr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. % s5 N: _- d/ m/ R8 H5 }) ]. ^
+ \% x/ m' H; e2 y: L2 ]7 s( F6 X
"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way." $ X) v; k6 t1 r0 @
. P7 S2 i# Y$ q6 D* l0 `: R
He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
