[其他] CDC confirms that coronavirus already spreading in New York City

The United States banned travelers from the European Union on March 13, too late to stop widespread community transmission in New York City, according to a report released by the federal Centers for Disease Control and prevention on Thursday. CDC researchers analyzed the genetic code of virus samples collected from three dozen infected New Yorkers in early March and found that most early coronavirus cases can be traced back to Europe. This also confirms what many researchers have said: through the implementation of travel bans, school closures and suspension orders and other mitigation measures, New York City has begun to widely spread the community.
