Whatever way you want to try and spin it 鈥?a small bunch of men at an all womens wrestling show is a very odd environment. On surface value, it just looks as if these people were too shy to go to a strip club. The truth is, if we ended up going to this venue to film there is no way I would have carried on with the shoot. Unless I was presenting wrestling as some sort of freak show or circus act 鈥?there is no way any objective reviewer or distributor would take such footage seriously. It would give the impression that wrestling is an event frequented by a small number freaks and outcasts, and it would make the whole production seem like a joke. People who arent into wrestling couldnt give two hoots about wrestling. The last thing you want to do is load the bullets and hand them the gun.
