But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill.

"We have one more seat to fill in our 12-seater minibus. If my husband said that’s it, we would stop, but we both enjoy having children so much."

Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum.

In March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months. / V# v9 v/ {. G# @

But despite the potential problems, and the considerable squeeze on their finances, she says she remains hooked on motherhood.

"When we married we said we’d have six, then my husband joked that we’d have eight to wind my mother up, but we’ve gone beyond a joke now."

- \& V' }$ [* cTo accommodate their family, the couple, from Bournemouth, have had an extra-large bath fitted and have extended their six-bedroom detached house. ( o$ a! o5 |( `( D

7 [) d+ U9 f9 ~8 {4 H8 JThey spend £170 a week on their food bill. And as a result of rising bills, they have not been on holiday for three years.

They struggle to organise even a weekend away as hotels and holiday homes are unable to accommodate so many children. : l1 V7 n" _4 E, _8 ^) D- l

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight.

"We agreed to settle for six but it hasn’t worked out that way."
