It is said to feel like it is moving of its own accord as it slices through the breeze.

The cut-away front allows you to see ahead and the long shape keeps the rain off your back.

Its creator, Dutch firm SENZ, claims it is the biggest advance since the Chinese invented the collapsible umbrella 1,700 years ago.

Co-creator Philip Hess said: “It is the first aerodynamic brolly.”
