But, with one seat spare in the family minibus, the couple feel they still have a gap to fill.

The couple support their six girls and three boys on the wages Mr Warriner earns as a police sergeant, without the aid of benefits. # p- X' C# ^$ a/ u6 W4 T

Their oldest child, Eryn, is nine. A year after her birth, the couple had Jackson, now eight, followed two years later by Harrison, six. * b; Y/ T" e* z" [6 L+ F/ O

Another boy, Callan, arrived in 2003 and was followed by threeyear- old Taitum. & f# F1 h( ]+ c( @/ p9 ~

0 ^- z% Z' ~7 D2 l+ `0 DIn March 2005, Rayna had triplet girls Ilish, Romany and Meredith, who are now 23 months.

Then on January 27 she gave birth to Avie, weighing 7lb 11oz, at Poole Hospital in Dorset. % D8 ?1 \) S6 `" `6 X2 q# o

9 T% |: @5 V9 |' O9 kShe had a difficult labour this time round, and needed a blood transfusion after problems with the placenta.

Mr Warriner, 45, who is applying for promotion to inspector to help support his brood, added: "When we got married ten years ago, Rayna said she’d like four children and I joked that I wanted eight. / ~  G9 g8 O3 f  ]

He added: "We haven’t had a holiday for years or a night out together. We don’t have a social life but I don’t feel I’m missing out."
