The Innovation Campus setup consists of the existing Development Centers at the Pudong site, a new R&D Center and a Campus Center which will house a visitor center, various showrooms and a large lecture hall. The new R&D Center is built for 240 employees, including 70 Polymer Researchers.

The research teams will be integrated into BASF’s global R&D community, in particular to the research organization company’s headquarters in Germany. These Research Scientists will possibly spend 6-12 months working with the Polymer Research teams in Europe to prepare them for their future research activities in Shanghai.
